Roles & Responsibilities


• Manage and handle claims across multiple lines of business, including but not limited to: Property, Casualty, Terrorism, Energy, Power, Construction, Work Injury Compensation (WICA), Financial Lines (e.g. D&O, PI, Cyber/Crime), and Specialty Risks.


• Provide end-to-end claims handling from initial notification through to settlement and recovery, ensuring accurate, timely, and professional service to clients.


• Advise clients on coverage positions, required documentation, timelines, and claim processes in a clear and professional manner.


• Interface and coordinate with placing brokers, (re)insurers, loss adjusters, legal counsel, forensic experts, and other third-party service providers throughout the lifecycle of the claim.


• Prepare and submit claim notifications to (re)insurers and follow through with regular progress updates, including liaising for coverage confirmation and settlement agreements.


• Conduct preliminary coverage assessments and assist in preparing position papers, analysis, and summaries for complex claims.


• Attend client meetings, site visits, loss adjuster meetings, and support negotiations where necessary.


• Ensure meticulous claim documentation management, maintaining both electronic and physical claim files in accordance with internal guidelines and audit requirements.


• Review and process payment requests, settlement agreements, and recovery documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policy terms and conditions.


• Keep claims database and internal systems updated to reflect accurate claim statuses and timelines.


• Support claims reporting, trend analysis, bordereaux preparation, and internal MI reports as required by management.


• Perform any other duties or special projects assigned by management.

Requirements


• Diploma or Degree in Law, Insurance, Business, Risk Management, or related discipline.


• Fresh graduates welcome; 1–2 years of relevant experience in general insurance claims is advantageous.


• Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and claims processes, especially in Property, Casualty, and Financial Lines.


• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to interpret policy wordings and assess coverage applicability.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service mindset.


• Able to manage multiple claims simultaneously and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.


• Highly organized, self-motivated, and proactive in driving claim resolutions.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


• Insurance certifications such as BCP, CGI, ComGI are a plus, or must be willing to obtain them.


• Team player with a collaborative attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
