Job Title: Senior / Occupational Therapist

We are seeking dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our expanding team across the NHG Health institutions. The main role includes providing assessment and treatment of patients within a multi-disciplinary setting with focus on tertiary and intermediate rehabilitation settings.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assess, develop and implement treatment plans to help individuals achieve optimal independence by improving and restoring skills in activities of self care, daily living, work activities, leisure and play.
  • Provide functional, cognitive and perceptual assessment and training of daily activities, facilitate work rehabilitation, prescribe and train in the use of assistive technology or devices, and apply ergonomic principles to performance of occupations.
  • Educate and provide training for family members and caregivers on interventions and care giving skills.
  • Contribute towards continuous quality improvement in the department and provide guidance to trainees and students.

Job Requirements

  • Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Registered or eligible for Allied Health Profession Certification (AHPC)
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment
  • Commitment to provide compassionate and patient-centered care
  • Senior position will be considered for applicants with relevant experience
