Network Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and manage Cisco Catalyst Switches (IOS), Cisco Nexus Switches (NXOS), and Alcatel-Lucent Switches (AOS) to support a secure, efficient, and scalable network.
  • Implement, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto and Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls to ensure robust perimeter and internal network security.
  • Administer Alcatel-Lucent Wireless Controllers to maintain a secure wireless network infrastructure.
  • Utilize SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (NPM) and Network Configuration Manager (NCM) for performance monitoring, alerts, and configuration backups.
  • Manage and maintain ClearPass Policy Manager for network access control, authentication, and policy enforcement.
  • Conduct regular network assessments, vulnerability scans, and remediation in compliance with security best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with other IT teams to support projects, resolve incidents, and implement changes.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and security standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a network security engineering role.

  • Strong proficiency in:

  • Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches

  • Alcatel-Lucent switches and wireless controllers
  • Palo Alto and Fortinet FortiGate firewalls
  • ClearPass Policy Manager
  • Experience with SolarWinds NPM/NCM for network performance and configuration management.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols, security architectures, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and team collaboration abilities.
