About the role

As a Software Engineer, you will be a key member of the team responsible for developing and maintaining critical business systems for MODE Aesthetics Pte Ltd. This full-time role is located in the Central Region and will involve working on the company's FY26 Business Continuity Planning (BCP) Initiative for the Payroll and Time & Attendance Systems (PTS).

What you'll be doing

  1. Develop and enhance the company's payroll and time & attendance systems to ensure robust business continuity
  2. Implement system improvements and optimisations to enhance the reliability and performance of PTS
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design effective technical solutions
  4. Write clean, maintainable code and ensure thorough testing and quality assurance
  5. Participate in the implementation and deployment of new system features and updates
  6. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users as needed
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement

What we're looking for

  1. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
  2. 3+ years of experience as a software engineer or developer, preferably in the payroll or HR systems domain
  3. Proficient in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python
  4. Experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) and developing RESTful APIs
  5. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
  6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  7. Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and best practices
  8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities
