Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Senior Manufacturing Engineer located in Kallang, Singapore.

What a typical day looks like:
  1. Understand manufacturing and test equipment concepts, technologies, and techniques.
  2. Design manufacturing processes within schedule and budgetary parameters.
  3. Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.
  4. Define equipment maintenance requirements, identify root causes of equipment failures, and develop hands-on maintenance skills. Work with other engineering stakeholders and customers on problem solving and continuous improvement to the design of equipment and products, and may develop corrective and preventive action plans.
  5. May be involved in development and update of PFMEA for new products.
  6. May participate in control plan development.
  7. Write and update work instructions and other documents (e.g., specifications, procedures).
  8. Analyze and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  9. Confer with production group concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
  10. Coordinate with customers to determine product specifications and design changes, and respond to customer requests.
  11. Provide information for management decisions from a technical and cost perspective.
  12. Discuss manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations with management, engineering, and staff to facilitate production processes.
  13. Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training. Typically requires 3 years of related experience.
  2. Demonstrates advanced functional and technical skills and basic process skills, with thorough knowledge of the function and Flex business.
  3. Skills in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and an overview of the entire test process; ability to train others and run/explain simulations.
  4. Impacts the near-term operational success of the function, enhances processes or technologies, and may lead major initiatives impacting multiple sites or customers.
  5. Exercises independent judgment within defined procedures and policies; provides input for team decisions.
  6. Typically works independently, identifying skills needed within the team and demonstrating Flex values.
  7. While performing duties, may be exposed to electrical shock risk and moving mechanical parts.
