About Modulo
Modulo partners with homeschool families seeking flexible, developmentally attuned education. Our students often excel intellectually and thrive with hands-on, personal engagement. We believe learning should be joyful and respectful of each child's unique learning profile. For us, Malay is more than content—it's connection, cultural insight, and confidence-building.
Teaching Excellence in Malay
Immersive, context-rich approaches—especially for children with ADHD—yield the strongest results. Using movement-based activities, interactive games, storytelling, songs, and real-world objects keeps learners engaged while supporting focus and retention. Consistent practice through playful routines like reading storybooks, singing songs, or cooking together helps deepen both language skills and cultural connection.
About You
The ideal tutor speaks Malay fluently (native or near-native proficiency) and has experience teaching or tutoring children, ideally with neurodiverse learners such as those with ADHD. You are skilled at creating playful, interactive, hands-on learning experiences. You are patient, adaptable, and able to support focus and engagement through movement, visuals, and clear structure. You are professional, reliable, and communicative with families.
Responsibilities
The tutor will lead one-on-one in-person Malay sessions with an 8-year-old, focusing on immersion and play. Lessons will include movement, crafts, songs, and storytelling to introduce and reinforce vocabulary and conversation. You will adapt lessons to support focus, pacing, and attention for a child with ADHD, and provide simple, consistent strategies families can use at home such as labeling, music, or short practice routines. You will also communicate progress and strategies clearly with the family.
Schedule and Location
Sessions are held in-person at the family's home in Singapore. Schedule is based on mutual availability. This is a dedicated role for one child, with potential for additional opportunities over time.
