The Role

We're looking for a highly experienced Systems Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting robust and secure applications. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in application design, a solid understanding of cloud technologies (specifically AWS), and extensive experience in complex system integrations. Given our ISO27001 certification and adherence to stringent financial regulations, a commitment to security and compliance is essential. You'll be instrumental in shaping public-facing applications (web & mobile) where performance & security are critical and will also be responsible for managing our outsourced development vendor.

Key accountabilities


• Application Design: Design and document solutions for new and existing public-facing applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.


• System Integration: Oversee and manage integrations between various internal systems and external client systems, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.


• Vendor Management: Act as liaison with our outsourced development vendor, managing project scope, timelines, deliverables, and ensuring adherence to our standards and requirements.


• Cloud Application Strategy: Contribute to the strategic evolution of our applications on AWS Cloud, leveraging services to optimize performance and cost.


• Security & Compliance: Ensure all application designs and implementations strictly adhere to our ISO27001 certified information security management system and the specific financial regulatory requirements imposed by our clients.


• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and functional designs.


• Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture, design specifications, and integration flows.


• Technology Stack Utilization: Work with our core technologies including Java and Microservices architectures to design efficient and effective solutions.

Qualifications & Experience


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.


• Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in systems analysis, application design, or a similar role.


• Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts, with practical experience in AWS Cloud environments. While not requiring expert-level cloud architecture, a strong grasp of cloud principles for application design is essential.


• Experience within the financial, banking, or insurance sectors, with an understanding of related processes and regulatory landscapes.


• Demonstrated experience with Java and Microservices architecture.


• Proven experience in managing outsourced development teams or vendors.


• A strong understanding of application security best practices and experience working within an ISO27001 certified environment or similar security frameworks.


• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in complex system environments.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors.
