Seeking Full Time / Part Timer Chinese Language Teacher with experience teaching (MUST) Singapore primary and secondary levels.

Salary $3000 to $4k per month for Chinese Tuition Centre in Hougang Central (next to Hougang MRT - North East MRT - Purple Lines)

Job Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning

  • Able to teach Primary / Secondary level Chinese with passion in the classroom.
  • Plan and deliver well structured Chinese language enrichment lessons according to Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) primary and secondary levels.
  • Create a positive, dynamic and interactive learning environment that inspire interest and able to coach the needs of young students.
  • Utilise various teaching methods and resources to cater to individual learning style.

Communication and Reporting

  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support, to ensure learning objectives are achieved.
  • Able to communicate well by addressing students and parents needs and concerns and regularly update parents on their child's learning progress.
  • Provide administrative support for the centre's operations and events.
  • Able to work evening and weekend

Requirements & Professional Compentencies

An experienced and certified Chinese teacher capable of teaching Singapore primary and secondary levels.
  • A creative and engaging instructor with the ability to make language learning fun and interactive.
  • A strong communicator who can connect with students of different age groups effectively.
  • A team player with the desire to contribute to the overall development of our language department.
  • Proficiency speaking & writing Chinese (Must) & English (preferred)
  • Bachelor 's Degree, majoring in Chinese language or related field preferred
  • Singaporeans or Permanent Residents are preferred.
  • Familiar with Singapore MOE Chinese standards and methods, able to develop teaching plans and material based on students different needs and levels.
  • Excellent teaching skills in explain vividly and visually
  • Knowledge of Chinese phonetics, vocabulary, grammar and Chinese characters
  • Good organization, coordination, managing small class size and ability to inspire student passion in learning Chinese.
  • Basic computer and internet skills MS Words
  • Patient, positive, responsible, caring personality
