We are seeking a dedicated and analytical Assistant Manager to support the Senior Manager in overseeing end-to-end procurement and logistics operations within the Materials Management Department (MMD). This role plays a critical part in ensuring operational excellence, system optimisation, compliance, and effective supply chain support across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Logistics Operations
- Oversee daily purchasing, logistics, and supply chain activities to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Supervise procurement and logistics staff; ensure compliance with internal policies and governance standards.
- Drive process improvements for operational efficiency and cost optimisation.
2. Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) Management
- Ensure accurate recording of goods and services in the ERP system for invoice processing and inventory updates.
- Review, validate, and monitor BPAs for compliance, usage trends, renewal, and optimisation.
- Support internal stakeholders on BPA creation and management.
3. Inventory & Ward Replenishment
- Oversee Centralised Ward Stock Replenishment operations to ensure adequate and timely supply levels.
- Monitor stock accuracy, consumption patterns, FEFO compliance, and inventory controls.
- Coordinate with Nursing and Logistics teams to support replenishment activities.
- Provide guidance to temporary staff assisting in stock management.
4. System & Process Optimisation
- Review and streamline MMD workflows to strengthen controls and reduce turnaround time.
- Support digitalisation initiatives, reporting automation, and process enhancements.
- Identify opportunities for productivity improvements and cost savings.
5. People Management & Development
- Lead, mentor, and appraise assigned staff.
- Support training and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
6. Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare operational performance reports and analytics for management.
- Maintain documentation accuracy and audit readiness.
- Support procurement activities, vendor assessments, and contract renewals.
7. Others
- Participate in departmental and organisational projects or committees as assigned.
- Perform any other duties as required by the Senior Manager.
Job Requirements
Minimum Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or equivalent.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in procurement or logistics
(Healthcare/Hospital experience will be an advantage).Must have experience with ERP software, preferably Oracle Applications
