JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team in driving business growth across our data centre cooling and critical infrastructure portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in technical B2B sales, preferably in the data centre, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), or critical infrastructure sectors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Sales Engineers to meet and exceed sales targets
- Oversee the sales team focused on front-line Sales, tenders, and Solution development
- Conduct role calls with the sales team for planning, workload balancing, and strategic alignment
- Implement quarterly performance reviews with individual sales team members
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and customer-centricity
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company business goals, particularly in liquid cooling and critical infrastructure solutions
- Achieve annual Minimum Performance Index GP targets for the sales team
- Strategise with Maintenance Services (MS) business type and key accounts as a base business profile
Implement key account management strategies for major clients and vertical markets
Collaborate with Solution team to create competitive technical proposals
Ensure accurate and competitive pricing strategies for different business types
Generate and analyse sales reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with major accounts and key decision-makers
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Essential
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in technical sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in B2B technical environments
- Deep understanding of data centre infrastructure, cooling solutions, or related technical products
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with MS Office suite
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technical solutions to diverse stakeholders
Preferred
- Experience in liquid cooling, HVAC, electrical systems, or data centre infrastructure
- Knowledge of recurring revenue models
- Familiarity with tender processes and large-scale project bidding
- Understanding of data centre trends, technologies, and industry standards
- Professional certifications in sales management, data centre technologies, or related fields
