Responsibilities: Design Management (40%)

  • Lead design and development of generator set enclosures, ensuring acoustic, thermal, safety, and structural compliance.
  • Manage full product lifecycle from concept design to manufacturing release.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and vendors to optimize cost, durability, and manufacturability.
  • Oversee testing and validation for acoustics, vibration, thermal, and weatherproofing.
  • Utilize CAD/CAE tools for 3D design and validate CFD/FEA analysis.
  • Implement design best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Engage with vendors and partners to evaluate equipment performance.
  • Capture customer requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Manage and mentor the design team.

Pre-Sales Design Support (55%)

  • Lead mechanical and electrical engineering teams in developing design concepts for pre-sales.
  • Ensure designs meet performance standards and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align engineering feasibility with market needs.
  • Review pre-sales drawings and technical documentation.
  • Drive innovation in genset design, modularity, and digitalization.
  • Manage engineering change processes, design reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Oversee pre-sales schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Work with application teams to assess feasibility of vendor proposals.
  • Deliver customized products for specific project needs.

General (5%)

  • Adhere to company environmental practices.
  • Perform other assigned tasks.

Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Engineering, Business, Marketing or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product design and manufacturing.
  • Strong expertise in sheet metal design, acoustics, thermal management, and structural analysis.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or NX).
  • Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of fabrication processes, coatings, and corrosion protection standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
