About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor in LANDED RESIDENTIAL to join the QS Organization', a leading construction consultancy, based in the Central Region. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring cost-effective and efficient delivery. This is a full-time position with opportunities for professional development and growth within the organisation.

What you'll be doing

  1. Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
  2. Monitoring project costs and providing regular financial reports to stakeholders
  3. Negotiating subcontractor and supplier agreements to secure the best value for money
  4. Identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements throughout the project lifecycle
  5. Advising the project team on contractual and commercial matters
  6. Preparing and analysing tender documentation
  7. Providing expert witness services and dispute resolution support as required

What we're looking for

  1. Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  2. Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent professional body
  3. Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
  4. Excellent knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and project administration
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  6. Proficient in using quantity surveying software and spreadsheet applications
  7. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
