Our Client is a leading proprietary trading firm that is renowned for hiring some of the best technologists in the country to capture financial markets opportunities. They provide google style working conditions with the fiscal benefits of working in financial markets. Due to ongoing growth, they require a junior trading systems engineer to join their infrastructure team in Singapore.

Role

You will be responsible for supporting cutting-edge, live production systems covering infrastructure and application layers and by extension, support both the trading and tech teams. The role remit encompasses an array of responsibilities including support of: OS (i.e., Linux, Windows, Mac) to Networks, databases, scripting, and cloud-based administration.

Requirements:

  • 2 – 3 years' application / production support experience.
  • Strong Linux administration experience.
  • Python scripting/automation skills along with BASH.
  • Knowledge of config. management tools like Puppet/Ansible and monitoring tools like Nagios/Icinga.
  • Knowledge of databases: InfluxDB, MySQL.
  • Polished Communication and Interpersonal skills along with a can-do attitude.
  • A history of good tenure in your career history (e.g., 4+ years average).
  • Bachelor's, master's or PhD level degree in computer science or mathematics.
  • Experience within a high performance, low latency dependant environment such as financial markets (highly desirable).

This role would be suited for someone with a Linux aligned, Application, Production or IT Ops Support background with experience or an interest in financial markets.
