						Essential Functions
Learning Needs Analysis
- Analyse and update changes in aged care training and education in the community, government departments, and inter-organisational relations.
 - Collaborate with nurses, allied health professionals, doctors, and service quality personnel to identify learning gaps and training needs of clinical staff.
 - Plan, implement and evaluate training and educational courses, workshops and programmes with peers and colleagues. Serve as a resource person for clinical training and education.
 - Ensure staff compliance to clinical standards of care and professional conduct.
 - Facilitate management of client with complex conditions.
 
Programme Design & Delivery
- Conduct orientation programmes for newly recruited nurses and care concierges.
 - Conduct training and evidence-based educational programmes are in place to facilitate the transfer of learning.
 - Evaluate and review all nursing and clinical procedures, protocols and practice guidelines regularly to ensure regulatory compliance in clinical care standards.
 - Evaluate clinical, nursing and care staff work performance and identify team core competencies, strengths and weaknesses for improvement.
 - Ensure skill competencies, Nursing Standards, Enhanced Nursing Home Standards, Guidelines for Home Care and Guidelines for Centre-Based Care are carried out and maintained regularly.
 - Educate and demonstrate the appropriate utilisation and application of medical/non-medical equipment to ensure accuracy and safety.
 - Conduct regular training and audit on clinical skills and customer service. Support quality improvement projects in nursing/clinical / aged care services.
 - Participate in regular discussions with the clinical staff to review and update on all educational and training programmes/workshops.
 - Participate in designing ongoing and in-service educational activities.
 
Community Engagement Support
- Participate and provide support in community outreach projects.
 - Attend committees and workgroups when assigned, to support the marketing and community engagement teams.
 - Keep abreast with latest developments in nursing and clinical practices through evidence informed literature /studies/ research.
 - Formulate costing for internal and external courses, workshops and programmes for community engagement team/ outreach projects.
 
Systems and Administrative Support
- Assist in realignment of clinical, nursing and personal care staff within the continuum care system.
 - Prepare all documentation for clinical / aged care training and educational budget.
 - Assist with data collection and submission for enhancing business operations.
 - Answer queries from internal and external parties in relation to clinical and nursing training and educational matters.
 - Provide administrative support in the training and educational projects/programmes.
 - Keep proper records and documentation on all internal and external trainings, educational courses, workshops projects and programmes.
 - Comply with the organisation approved standards, procedures, protocols and policies.
 - To be familiar with all aspects of the organisation administrative, emergency and fire evacuation policies and procedures and ensure learning is carried out for all relevant levels of staff.
 - To adhere to the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) relating to clients and staff.
 - Perform other related duties as assigned
 
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor or Diploma in Nursing recognised by Singapore Nursing Board
 - Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board
 - Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience with at least 2 years in supervisory position with clinical training experience in nursing home setting
 - Prior experience in community/eldercare setting is advantageous.
 - Proficient in MS Office
 - Possess up-to-date BCLS & AED/ CPR Certificate
 - May be required to work occasional evening and/or weekends and public holidays if deem necessary for the setting.
