Role Purpose(s):

We're looking for a UX Designer with a focus in visual design and Design Systems to join our team. You will be responsible for creating, updating and documenting components in our design system, and crafting mock ups in line with user flows. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and efficiency in design across various digital products.

Key Accountabilities

• Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively.
• Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
• Develop and maintain a consistent design system aligned with brand guidelines and UX principles.
• Work closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver creative, user-centered solutions.
• Evaluate the usability of new and existing products and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Present design concepts and milestone deliverables to peers and stakeholders for feedback and alignment.
• Stay updated with design trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve design quality and user experience.

Job Responsibilities & Duties:

• Create user flow, mockups, and prototypes to communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Develop and maintain the design system, ensuring it aligns with brand guidelines and user experience principles.
• Present designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product managers, front-end engineers, researchers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, and provide creative solutions.
• Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
• Evaluate the usability of new and existing products and make constructive suggestions for change.
• If you are shortlisted, you will be given a task to demonstrate the above responsibilities.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Design (e.g., Interaction, Graphic, Visual Communications, Product, Industrial), Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent practical experience.

Working Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 4 or more years of UI/UX experience.

Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of UI/UX principles, responsive web design techniques, and accessibility standards.
• Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
• Experience with industry standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Illustrator, Principle, etc.).
• Experience in building design systems for large-scale products.

• Strong portfolio highlighting design principles for web and mobile platforms.

• Experience in creating digital brand guides.

• Experience in front-end development in relation to Design Systems.

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $5, $7,000.00 per month
