Azure Data Engineer

Seeking a talented Azure Data Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in extracting insights and developing innovative solutions for our clients. Youll work closely with business stakeholders to understand their challenges, design and implement data pipelines, and refine models that empower them to make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and deploy cloud applications using Microsoft Azure technologies, with a focus on Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure SQL DW, and Azure Synapse SQL.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify business needs and translate them into technical data solutions.
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from diverse sources to ensure data quality and accuracy.
  • Develop and implement data models that adhere to data lineage and governance principles.
  • Implement security best practices using Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) and related services.
  • Analyze data and develop value-creating strategies and models that drive business growth, innovation, and profitability.
  • Automate data pipelines and workflows for optimal efficiency and scalability.
  • Monitor data pipelines and infrastructure for performance and implement alerting and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and software engineers, to ensure data solutions align with business objectives.
  • Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in Azure technologies and data engineering practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or a related role.
  • Demonstrated experience building data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform, particularly with Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure SQL DW, and Azure Synapse SQL.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including Dimensional Modeling and Data Vault.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python.
  • Good understanding of ETL concepts and methodologies.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
