Manager, Group Integrated Audit (Operational/HSSE)

Our client is a leading energy and urban development provider, with operations spanning across various regions. The company focuses on sustainable solutions, including renewable energy and integrated urban developments. The Manager, Group Integrated Audit (Operational/HSSE) will conduct operational audits in areas such as Operations and Maintenance (O&M), Health & Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE). The auditor will be responsible for organizing, planning, and executing audits, with the goal of offering independent and objective assurance to enhance the Group's operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct Operation & Maintenance (O&M) and Health & Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) audits to identify the gaps and lapses in the control procedures and implementation and identify the risks to the business.
  • Examine, evaluate and review entities /functions to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures and regulations.
  • Identify, recommend, and resolve improvements to procedures, processes and controls.
  • Articulate and discuss control issues/gaps and corrective action plans with stakeholders and auditees.
  • Prepare written audit reports for Senior Management.
  • Follow-up and validate management's remediation for audit issue closure.
  • Complete working papers for the audit through documenting the audit work conducted, describing the audit work performed and the audit evidence that supports the audit issues/gaps.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years' working experience (including technical hands-on experience) in audit, compliance, O&M or HSSE role.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge in utility / power / water / renewables plant operations and HSSE practices.
  • Good analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate control adequacy and operating effectiveness.
  • Able to travel overseas when required (up to 30%).
  • Experience in audit for functional areas, such as procurement, inventory management and commercial, is a plus
