Key Responsibilitis

  • Receiving and Unloading:

Accept, inspect, and unload incoming goods, checking for damages or shortages against delivery documents.

  • Storage and Organization:

  • Inventory Management:

Track inventory levels, conduct stock counts, and update inventory records using computer systems or scanning devices.

  • Picking and Packing:

Pick items from shelves and assemble them for outgoing orders, ensuring accuracy.

  • Dispatch and Loading:

Pack completed orders and load them onto vehicles for dispatch.

  • Documentation:

Process and file stock-related documentation, such as delivery orders and inventory records.

  • Housekeeping:

Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and order in the store or warehouse.

  • Equipment Operation:

Operate machinery like forklifts, pallet jacks, or scanners for handling and tracking goods.

  • Ad-hoc Duties:

Perform other duties as required, which may include assisting with site operations or safety checks.

Required Skills and Qualities

  • Organization and Meticulousness: A strong ability to keep records, organize goods, and maintain a tidy workspace.
  • Basic Numeracy: Essential for counting items and tracking inventory.
  • Flexibility and Physical Fitness: The role often requires physical effort and the ability to adapt to fast-paced or changing conditions.
