Overview

The Marine Parade Community Space Ltd (MPCSL) is a charity and Institute of a Public Character established to look after vulnerable residents in Marine Parade. It is developing The Anchor @ Marine Parade, a social service Hub that will be operation in early 2026.

The Executive (Part Time), Finance and Corporate Services will play a role in executing the administrative, finance, and human resource processes, protocols, and guidelines, reporting to the Manager, Finance and Corporate Services.

Expectations

The Executive's role is a dynamic one, and candidates are expected to have ownership of the role and MPCSL's development.

Qualifications

Candidate should have a background in finance and have 5 years working experience. Candidate must also have some experience with office administration and human resource. Candidate must have good written English capabilities. Experience in the charity sector is a bonus.

Attributes

Candidate must be a team player and be supportive of his/ her colleagues. Candidate must have a problem-solving attitude and be able to take on tasks independently and complete them comprehensively. Candidate is also expected to be meticulous and detailed in his/ her work.

Responsibilities

The candidate is to assist the Manager, Finance and Corporate Services. Duties include (but not limited to):

Administrative duties:

  • Assist with the record keeping (e.g. minutes, important documents, on MPCSL's SharePoint)
    Retrieving and filing of mail and documents (e.g. contracts)

Human Resource:

  • Assist with payroll calculation, issuing of payslips
  • Administer employee benefits (e.g. medical/ dental claims, birthday vouchers)
    Assist with record keeping (e.g. personnel data, leave records)

Finance:

  • Assist with MPCSL's monthly accounts (vetting and processing claims and payments and other transactions)
  • Assist with the processing of donations
  • Assist with any liaisons with the Bank, accounts vendor, auditor, etc.

Working Hours

This is a part-time position. The Executive is expected to work 3 days a week. Wokring hours are 1000hrs to 1600hrs.
