Senior Application Architect (Oracle Cloud) – 1-Year Contract

Location: Commonwealth, Central Singapore

Employment Type: 1-Year Contract (Renewable, subject to performance & project needs)

Eligibility: Due to project security clearance requirements, only Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents will be considered.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Application Architect (Oracle Cloud) to lead the technical architecture and design for a large-scale Oracle Cloud landscape, spanning Oracle Fusion SaaS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) PaaS components. You will be the technical subject matter expert (SME) responsible for defining robust, secure, and scalable architectures and influencing key technical decisions across multiple teams. Working closely with project managers, functional leads, security teams, and integration specialists, you will ensure that the overall solution meets stringent performance, security, availability, and disaster recovery requirements. This is a hands-on architecture and solutions design role with strong emphasis on non-functional requirements, integration strategy, networking/security, DevOps, and environment management within the Oracle ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oracle Cloud Architecture

• Design and document the technical architecture for Oracle Fusion SaaS and integrated OCI PaaS components.
• Focus on non-functional aspects such as performance, scalability, security, availability, and disaster recovery.

• Align architecture with enterprise standards, Oracle reference architectures, and industry best practices.

• Networking & Security (OCI / SaaS)

• Design and validate secure network configurations leveraging OCI networking services, including:

• Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs)
• FastConnect / VPN Connect
• Security Lists / Network Security Groups (NSGs)
• Architect secure connectivity between Oracle Fusion SaaS, PaaS extensions, and on-premise systems.

• Ensure compliance with corporate security standards and Oracle security best practices.

• Integration Strategy

• Define the technical architecture for complex integrations involving Oracle Fusion SaaS and external systems.

• Utilize Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and other OCI PaaS tools (e.g. SOA Cloud Service) to support:
• High-volume data exchange
• Real-time integrations
• Batch processing

• Leverage REST/SOAP APIs, Extracts, HDL/HSDL, and other Fusion mechanisms for robust data and process integration.

• OCI DevOps & CI/CD

• Define and implement CI/CD pipelines and tooling on OCI for:

• Custom applications
• Integrations
• Extensions (e.g. Visual Builder Cloud Service – VBCS)
• Automate deployment, testing, and environment provisioning in alignment with DevOps practices.

• Collaborate with operations and infrastructure teams to ensure consistent, reliable deployments.

• Document Management

• Architect end-to-end solutions for document generation, storage, and retention within the Oracle landscape.

• Integrate Fusion SaaS with OCI Object Storage and/or Oracle Content Management services.

• Ensure secure access, appropriate retention policies, and regulatory compliance for documents.

• Environment & Release Management

• Define and manage the environment strategy (Dev, Test, UAT, Prod) across the Oracle ecosystem.

• Establish processes and tooling for migrating configurations and data between environments.
• Coordinate with functional and technical teams to support predictable and stable release cycles.

Required Skills & Experience

• Deep Oracle Expertise
• Proven experience designing and implementing technical solutions using Oracle Fusion SaaS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) PaaS.
• Strong understanding of technical configuration, integration points, and security models in core Fusion SaaS modules.

Technical Proficiency (Oracle-Specific)

• OCI Networking & Security
• Hands-on expertise with VCNs, IAM, Security Lists/NSGs, and related OCI security constructs.
• Understanding of security features and models within Oracle Fusion SaaS.
• Integrations & Data
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) for complex integrations.
• Strong knowledge of Extracts, HDL, HSDL, and BI Publisher for data management, interfaces, and reporting.
• DevOps & CI/CD
• Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for OCI PaaS components.
• Familiarity with automated build, test, and deployment processes in Oracle Cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3–5+ years of relevant working experience in technical architecture, solutions design, or consulting roles.
• Significant hands-on focus on Oracle Fusion SaaS implementations and OCI-based solutions.
• Relevant Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) certifications (e.g. OCI Architect Professional) are highly desirable.
