Job Responsibilities

You will have to provide medical social service to patients and families to help them cope with social, psychological, financial issues resulting from an illness.

  • Providing social work based intervention, counselling and emotional support and other assistance to patients and families.
  • Supervising junior social workers and undergraduates undergoing fieldwork placement.
  • Supervising the work of social service assistants.
  • Planning, organizing and coordination of support programmes
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree / Post graduate certificate in Social Work (or Major in Social Work).
  • Practising Social Worker Accreditation by Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW).
  • An average of 5 - 8 years relevant experience preferred.
  • Good social case work intervention skills.
  • Good counselling skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in word processor and spreadsheet programmes.
  • Mentoring skills (if applicable).
