**Overview**:
**Responsibilities:
**1. Administration Support**:
- Manage purchases according to procurement guidelines.
- Track spending and cash flow matters. Maintain scientific journal subscriptions for the lab.

**2. Equipment Management**:
- Manage preventive maintenance and calibration of scientific equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and coordinate repairs or modifications. Manage equipment booking system and conduct lab inductions for new users.

**3. Inventory Management**:
- Conduct stocktake of lab assets, consumables, chemicals, and reference materials. Handle lab inventory and ensure proper storage and organization.

**4. Documentation and Procedures**:
- Update or draft equipment SOPs, lab safety guidelines, and administrative procedures. Maintain lab records, archive analytical data, and perform lab housekeeping tasks.

**5. Safety and Compliance**:
- Handle chemical Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) requirements, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS), inventory management, and disposal.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
**Requirements**:
- Experience with procurement using Workday is advantageous.
- Be proficient in MS Office and MS Teams. - Willingness to learn and adaptable.
- Able to display good manual dexterity, technical aptitude, and problem -solving skills in previous work.
- Experience working with chemicals or operating instrumentation like light microscopes, grinder, SEM -EDS, Raman, FTIR and GC/MS is advantageous.
