Solutions Consultant

Overview :

As a Solutions Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and leading efforts to assess and enhance camera performance on Android devices, particularly within social media applications and the native camera experience.

You will act as a key link between various teams and stakeholders, applying your broad understanding of translating objectives into practical solutions throughout the product lifecycle. You will foster relationships with internal partners at the manager level and strive for excellence in achieving project aims focused on improving the overall Android multimedia experience.

You will be a significant contributor in addressing challenges, fostering repeatable approaches, and supporting the strategy and execution of camera quality initiatives. Your general knowledge of Google technologies and processes, combined with your understanding of the industry, will be valuable in this role.

Responsibilities :

Lead and oversee various internal projects focused on understanding and improving Android camera quality in different contexts, including social media and the built-in camera app.

Contribute to the planning and execution of work, including defining the scope of projects related to evaluating camera performance and ensuring alignment with broader goals. This includes involvement in shaping evaluation plans.

Provide well-reasoned options and recommendations for evaluation approaches, methodologies, and device selection for different camera testing efforts, with general guidance. This includes contributing to and reviewing evaluation plans.

Address a range of challenges related to camera capabilities across Android devices and platforms, guiding project activities to achieve effective outcomes.

Help establish efficient processes and deliverables to proactively address potential issues in camera quality evaluation by identifying trends and promoting scalable solutions.

Develop productive working relationships internally with teams such as Product, Engineering, and Program Management, as well as externally with relevant partners. This includes aligning on common objectives for improving camera quality.

Communicate effectively across various teams regarding project status, findings, and next steps for different camera quality programs.

Help integrate timelines and objectives for related camera evaluation activities, such as understanding native camera performance in relation to other applications.

Identify opportunities for improving efficiency in camera quality evaluation processes and promote repeatable solutions.

Apply your general understanding of relevant Google technologies and processes to contribute to solutions for evaluating and improving camera performance.

Utilize your awareness of industry trends and past experiences in relevant tasks and challenges related to mobile camera technology.

Contribute to the maintenance of relevant documentation and the creation of repeatable resources related to Android camera quality evaluation.

Support project planning, status reporting, and general project administration for different camera evaluation efforts.

Assist in the implementation and ongoing support of solutions based on defined objectives and technical needs for camera quality improvement.

Help identify patterns in camera-related issues and collaborate with internal teams to mitigate potential risks.

Participate in discussions with internal teams and partners to help define the parameters and scope of camera evaluation programs.

Help articulate the benefits of camera quality improvements through clear communication.

Collaborate with stakeholders to contribute to effective solutions for camera quality challenges and gain support for proposed approaches.

Help support internal and external teams on new evaluation methods and findings related to Android camera performance.

Contribute to building and maintaining working relationships with stakeholders in partner and internal organizations to support quality evaluation services.

Help in the assessment of product feedback related to camera performance and communicate relevant information to internal teams. This includes reporting on identified issues and areas for enhancement in camera capabilities.

Demonstrate the ability to understand stakeholder needs related to Android camera quality through discussion and contribute to recommendations.

Apply general domain-specific and technical knowledge to support organizational priorities related to Android multimedia.

Support projects involving multiple stakeholders, relevant timelines, and organizational considerations related to flagship Android devices.

Work collaboratively and contribute to positive working relationships with stakeholders.

Utilize questioning and listening skills to understand objectives and contribute to solutions aligned with Google's aims for Android camera performance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.

Meaningful experience in a solutions consultant, technical program management, or related role within the mobile or camera technology space.

General understanding of Android smartphone camera systems, including basic native camera app functionality and image/video quality concepts.

Awareness of social media platforms and their interaction with camera performance on mobile devices.

Some familiarity with camera quality evaluation concepts, testing basics, and reporting.

Good project coordination and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with different teams.

Ability to understand objectives and contribute to practical solutions.

Familiarity with general Google technologies and processes.

Ability to analyze general problems and contribute to identifying potential solutions.

Experience working with external partners is a plus
