Home Tutor

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to provide a full spectrum of home tutoring support. This role only includes tutoring two school children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tutor two boys (Grade 3 and Grade 6) in their online courses and assist with homework, ensuring they understand the class well and complete assignments for all subjects.
• Help the kids fully absorb and understand what they have learned and do an excellent job on their elementary and middle school homework in subjects like algebra, geometry, English literature, humanities, debate, Chinese, and science.

Working Hours:

• Weekdays: 3:40 PM to 8:45 PM
• Saturdays: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Sundays: Off
• 35 working hours per week, the exact schedule may vary slightly based on the children's training sessions and class times.
• Must be able to travel a few times per year, expenses covered, because the childreen will need to attend tournaments and trainings in Beijing, Malaysia or Hong Kong.
• Extra working hours, other than 35 standard hours per week, will be compensated at an hourly rate.

Requirements:

• At least a Bachelor's Degree
• Able to commit to a 35-hour work per week according to working hours stated above.
• Effectively bilingual and able to interact well in both English and Mandarin.
• Comfortable working with children and assisting with their academic progress.
• Be able to travel a few times per year, expenses covered.
• Responsible, organized, and detail-oriented tutor.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Singaporeans or permanent residents only.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in tutoring elementary school and Middle school -aged children.
• Candidates with an NIE background or experience in teaching primary/secondary school children will be strongly considered.

Remuneration:

• Up to 2 months bonus upon completion of contract.
