We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cambridge AS/A Level Teacher to deliver engaging and rigorous instruction in e.g., Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), ICT, Mathematics, Accounting, and Economics. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a stimulating learning environment that encourages critical thinking, deep understanding, and academic achievement, preparing students for success in Cambridge International examinations and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Learning:Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in accordance with Cambridge International AS/A Level syllabi and schemes of work.
Utilize a variety of effective teaching strategies and resources to cater to diverse learning styles and promote active student engagement.
Develop students' critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills relevant to the subject.
Set high expectations for all students and differentiate instruction to support and challenge learners of all abilities.
Integrate practical activities, experiments, and real-world applications where relevant to enhance understanding.
Stay updated with the latest developments in the subject curriculum and Cambridge International assessment practices. - Assessment and Progress Monitoring:Design, administer, and mark assessments (quizzes, tests, assignments, mock exams, practical assessments, coursework) in line with Cambridge International and school assessment policies.
Provide timely, constructive, and actionable feedback to students to guide their learning and improvement.
Maintain accurate and thorough records of student attendance, progress, and attainment.
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student performance, progress, and areas for development through reports, parent-teacher conferences, and informal communication.
Analyze student data to identify areas for intervention and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. - Curriculum Development and Collaboration:Contribute to the ongoing development and review of departmental syllabuses and schemes of work to ensure alignment with Cambridge specifications and best practices.
Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across the school to share best practices, resources, and ensure curriculum coherence.
Participate in departmental meetings, school-wide events, and professional development sessions. - Pastoral Care and School Community:Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that encourages student participation and a love for learning.
Act as a positive role model, demonstrating high standards of personal conduct, professionalism, and integrity.
Support students' social and emotional development and contribute to their overall well-being.
Undertake pastoral duties such as form tutoring (if applicable), supporting house activities, and contributing to the wider school community.
Adhere to all school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and child protection guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in the relevant subject area (e.g., Science disciplines, Computer Science, Business, etc.).
A recognized teaching qualification
Cambridge Professional Development Qualification (e.g., CICTL, CIDTL) or demonstrable experience with Cambridge International programmes - optional but highly desirable - Experience:Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching Cambridge International AS/A Level in the specified subject.
Proven track record of preparing students for success in Cambridge International examinations.
Experience working with diverse student populations is a plus. - Skills and Attributes:Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.
