
WSHE Supervisor

The WSHE Supervisor (Lifting) is responsible for supervising and co-ordinating safety aspects and procedures focusing on lifting operations on site as required under the Workplace Safety & Health Act.
A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:
- Assist the WSHE Officer / WSHE Coordinator to identify any unsafe condition in the worksite or unsafe work practice in the worksite and to implement reasonably practicable measures to remedy the unsafe condition or work practice.
- Assist the WSHE Officer / WSHE Coordinator to identify any environmental non-conformance and to implement measures to rectify the condition
- Check Sub-Contractors' work to ensure compliance with the WSH Act and its subsidiary legislations, including the provisions of the WSH (Construction) Regulations and WSH (Operation of Cranes) Regulations
- Carry out site WSHE programmes, procedures and assist in organising WSHE awareness activities such as tool-box meetings, WSHE orientation, WSHE induction, promotional activities, etc.
- Monitor risk assessment compliance and report to WSHE Officer for any non-compliance on lifting operations in particular.
- Ensure risk assessment control measures are implemented for all site activities
- Be prepared to stop work or to notify the WSHE Department in the event of any WSHE deviations
- Develop and brief the lifting plan for routine and non-routine lifting activities to the site team and all involved parties
Requirements:
- Education: Minimum WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace, Safety and Health (Level A) as stipulated in the Singapore Ministry of Manpower's accepted WSH-related qualifications.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of BuildngBuilding experience with minimum 1 year of lifting supervisor experience
- Building Construction Supervisor Safety Course
- Certification in Lifting Supervisors Safety Course
- Certification in Confined Space Safety Assessor Course would be an added advantage
