Job description

The Metrology engineer will be part of the development team. This role is critical in developing and implementing advanced metrology solutions to support the fabrication and characterization of micro-optical components, wafer-level optics (WLO), and photonic devices. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, repeatable, and high-resolution measurements that drive process optimization and product quality.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in metrology or process engineering, preferably in optics, semiconductors, or MEMS.

  • Hands-on experience with optical metrology tools and techniques for sub-micron to micron-scale features.
  • Experience with wafer-level optics, grayscale lithography, or freeform optics.
  • Strong understanding of optical measurement principles (e.g., interferometry, reflectometry, profilometry).
  • Familiarity with image processing, data analysis, and statistical tools (e.g., JMP, MATLAB, Python).
  • Knowledge of optical simulation tools (e.g., Zemax, Code V) and how metrology impacts optical performance.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
