The Inventory Associate is responsible for supporting the daily operations of ViewQwest's inventory store, ensuring timely and accurate handling of hardware and equipment. This role covers receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking network hardware and related accessories to support installation, maintenance, and deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of hardware movement in the relevant tracking systems.
- Handle ad-hoc stock withdrawal requests from internal teams, ensuring proper documentation.
- Respond to inventory information requests and assist with investigations when discrepancies arise.
- Receive and inspect incoming stock deliveries from suppliers, verify quantities against delivery orders, and update systems accordingly.
- Keep inventory storage areas tidy and organised.
- Prepare daily delivery orders and coordinate with couriers for timely dispatch.
- Arrange and prepare self-collection orders for customers or field engineers.
- Prepare hardware for next-day requirements of field engineers and the infrastructure team, referring to the onsite schedule.
- Monitor stock levels and issue low-stock notifications to relevant parties.
- Process and record hardware returns, updating serial numbers and system records.
- Support periodic stock counts and reconciliation exercises.
- Follow company SOPs for stock handling, hardware movement, and delivery processes.
- Ensure hardware handling meets quality and safety standards.
Requirements:
- GCE 'O' Level, NITEC, or equivalent qualification.
- 1–2 years of experience in inventory, warehouse, or logistics operations (preferably in a technology or ISP environment).
- Basic knowledge of networking hardware (e.g., routers, switches, modems) is an advantage.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Physically fit to handle lifting and moving of hardware equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
