We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Procurement Executive with a Quantity Surveying (QS) background to support our procurement and contracts operations. The successful candidate will assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services, ensuring alignment with cost budgets and BCA regulations.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Source and evaluate quotations for construction materials, equipment, services and subcontractor works in line with the project BOQs and specifications.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best deals
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to achieve cost reductions.
  • Ensure all procured materials and services meet the required quality standards and specifications
  • Coordinate with the stakeholders to address any quality issues promptly
  • Process purchase requisitions and raise purchase orders (POs) in accordance with the internal approval processes
  • Monitor order status, coordinate timely deliveries and support site logistics planning
  • Assist the Quantity Surveyors in cost estimation, tender analysis and procurement cost tracking
  • Ensure procurement activities are aligned with project budgets, VO approvals and contract conditions
  • Track material wastage and over-ordering
  • Maintain and update an approved list of vendors and subcontractors based on performance and compliance checks
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of scope based on contract milestones
  • Assist in vendor performance reviews and ensure delivery standards meet safety and environmental requirements
  • Ensure proper documentation of all procurement transactions in line with ISO and BCA audit standards
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to support regulatory submissions and compliance checks

Role Requirements:

  • Diploma in Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering / Building / Construction Management or related discipline
  • Preferably with QS or procurement working experience in the building construction industry (Main Contractors A1)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and is a great team player.
  • Willingness to take up new challenges, able to work well under stress and love challenges.
  • Good understanding of engineering, procurement, contract, construction and commissioning documentation processes.
  • Able to multi-task and have data organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Applications such as Word, Excel and ERP systems
  • Willing to travel to Tuas area
