We are seeking a dedicated Relief Early Intervention Teacher to join our team for one term of assignment The successful candidate will provide tailored educational support to children with special educational needs.
This position is assigned to the EIC Developmental Preschool Programme.
Type: Part-time, Contract
Start Date: 1 October 2025
End Date: 12 December 2025
Time: 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday
Qualifications:
Advance Diploma, Diploma and/or Degree in Early Childhood Special Education/ Early Intervention
Experience:
Experience in teaching children with special needs (0-8 years of age) in a group setting
Knowledge, Skills and Responsibilities:
- Support a class of 6, catering to the diverse needs of young children including those with developmental delays or disabilities in areas such as motor skills, cognition, communication, and social-emotional.
- Modify instruction and make necessary adaptations to meet individual learning needs.
- Conduct classroom observation and comprehensive evaluations for children aged 0-8 referred to the EIC Developmental Preschool Programme for suspected developmental issues.
- Utilize positive reinforcement and behavioural management strategies effectively.
- Plan, write, and implement children's Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and term progress reports.
- Establish clear objectives for all lessons and effectively communicate those objectives to students.
- Possess excellent writing, speaking, listening, and overall communication skills.
- Demonstrate a commitment to working with young children with developmental delays.
- Apply skills in behavior modification techniques and knowledge in child development within the educational setting.
- Exhibit the ability to take initiative and work independently with a variety of responsibilities and tasks.
- Show effective planning and organizational abilities.
- Display good interpersonal skills, showcasing empathy, cooperation, courtesy, kindness, and patience.
- Demonstrate effective work skills including creativity, conscientiousness, dedication, resourcefulness, efficiency, and organization.
