Cardiac Technologist

Job Description & Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clear instructions to patients and ensure their comfort and safety.
• Perform cardiac tests including ECG, treadmill stress tests, Holter monitoring, ambulatory BP monitoring, and echocardiography (2D, Doppler, stress echo).
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond to signs of distress.
• Prepare preliminary findings and assist cardiologists in diagnostic interpretation.
• Record and manage diagnostic data in electronic medical records (EMR) accurately.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain diagnostic equipment according to safety and hygiene protocols.
• Assist in the daily running of the medical clinic(s) including reception, registration, billing, inventory, dispensing etc.
• Assist in the management and supervision of the clinic management software system.
• Participate in audits, clinical quality initiatives, and continuing education.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as and when required.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Biomedical Science, or a related field.
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support, echocardiography or other cardiac diagnostics is preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-based, fast-paced environment.
