The opportunity
EY Consulting is a fast-moving, high-growth area with huge potential. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Manager / Manager to join our team. This team offers variety, challenge, responsibility and the opportunity to realize your leadership potential. Being a member of our Consulting team means you will specialize in a particular competency - Risk, Technology Consulting, or IT Risk & Assurance. Our Technology Consulting team is focused on helping clients improve operational efficiency and security, while also reducing costs and managing risk.
We help clients by delivering assessment, transformation and process efficiency solutions in specialty areas like finance, supply chain, IT Advisory, customer, people and organization change, strategic direction, and program management. To address the shifting landscape of our clients' needs, EY has established a national Center of Excellence focusing in the broad topics of Enterprise Intelligence, Risk Transformation, IT Risk, and Enabling Technologies. Enabling Technologies primarily focuses on the design and optimization of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) packages like SAP, Oracle, and others. Our team typically works with Fortune 1000 clients across a variety of industries including, Manufacturing, Pharma, Energy/Utilities, Transportation, Telecommunications, Entertainment/Media, Oil/Gas and Consumer Goods/Retail.
Your Key Responsibilites:
- Technical Expertise:
- Experience in SAP HR ABAP developments.
- Develop and maintain ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms.
- Debug and troubleshoot existing ABAP programs to resolve issues.
- Implement SAP HR modules (e.g., PA, OM, Time Management, Payroll) using ABAP programming.
- Perform data migration and data conversion activities using LSMW, BDC, and other tools.
- Functional Expertise:
- Gather and analyze business requirements related to HR processes.
- Configure SAP HR modules to meet business needs.
- Provide functional specifications for custom developments.
- Preparation of Functional Specifications documents
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Consulting Skills:
- Work closely with clients to understand their business processes and provide solutions.
- Participate in project planning, execution, and delivery.
- Provide training and support to end-users.
- Prepare documentation, including functional and technical specifications, test scripts, and user manuals.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other SAP modules (e.g., FI, CO, MM).
- Coordinate with offshore and onshore teams for project delivery.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Human Resources, or related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in SAP HR ABAP development and configuration.
- Strong understanding of SAP HR modules and their integration with other SAP modules.
- Proficiency in ABAP programming, including Object-Oriented ABAP.
- Experience with SAP HCM processes and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- SAP certification in HR or ABAP is a plus.
Ideally, you'll also have:
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or other cloud-based HR solutions.
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori and UI5.
- Understanding of SAP S/4HANA and its impact on HR processes.
- Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP)
