Job Scope:
- Lead the discussion, drafting, review, and negotiation of contract terms and conditions with clients, consultants, main contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers to ensure clarity, fairness, and compliance.
- Oversee end-to-end contract administration, working closely with project managers and relevant stakeholders on matters such as extension of time (EOT), variation orders (VOs), contractual claims, and loss and expense submissions.
- Evaluate and assess claims from sub-contractors, including EOTs, variations, and cost-related submissions, ensuring compliance with contract terms and project timelines.
- Provide contractual advice and guidance to project teams and management, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations, procedures, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify contractual and commercial risks, and recommend mitigation strategies to protect the company's interests.
- Well-versed in local standard forms and construction contracts, including PSSCOC, REDAS, SIA, and familiar with the Security of Payment Act (SOP Act).
- Manage and resolve contractual disputes amicably, engaging with internal teams and external stakeholders to reach effective outcomes.
- Draft and manage all contract documentation and legal correspondence, including contractual notices, dispute letters, and formal communications.
- Support project tendering processes through review and input on contract conditions, pricing structures, and risk allocation.
- Perform other contract-related tasks as assigned, ensuring smooth project execution and strong commercial governance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying / construction management / Contract Law or equivalent.
- 5 - 10 years of working experience in contract management for the construction industry.
- Possess strong personal & negotiation skills and leadership qualities
