The Career Conversion Programme (CCP) (Train-and-Place with Commitment to Hire) for Advanced Biopharmaceuticals Manufacturing Executives/Professionals is a talent development programme aimed at building the next generation of skilled manpower for Singapore's Biopharmaceuticals manufacturing industry in anticipation of hiring demand.

The training programme consists of 15 months of local attachment with GSK. Due to the nature of the programme, we can only consider Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents. For more information, please visit Career Conversion Programmes (CCP) for Individuals

A certificate will be given to successful trainees upon completion of the programme.

What will you do?
As an Operations Engineer, you will provide process and technical support to the Manufacturing Operations Teams (Fermentation and Purification Operations) to help the Value Stream achieve its operational objectives.

Your areas of support will include deviation investigations, process and equipment troubleshooting, CAPA management, change management, GMP documentation revision, QMS gap analysis, and risk assessment of technical topics. You will also lead continuous improvement projects and process optimization efforts.

In this role, you will ensure smooth and continuous production by resolving process issues and implementing process improvements. You will collaborate with Engineering, MSAT, Supply Chain Management, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance teams to maintain controlled and compliant processes. This includes identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions, optimizing efficiency through process improvements, reducing process variability, and minimizing costs while upholding high standards of quality.

  • Project Management: Acquire knowledge in planning, coordinating, and executing various projects to meet organizational goals.
  • Validations: Understand the principles and practices of validating processes, equipment, and systems to maintain quality and compliance.
  • Environment, Safety, Health, and Wellness: Gain insights into best practices for maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring the well-being of all employees.

What are we looking for?

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or a science discipline.
  • Candidates with a strong relevant degree, even without prior working experience, are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent troubleshooting abilities.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, negotiation, and teamwork skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with shifting demands
