Process Engineer (Precision Metal Stamping)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our precision metal stamping team. The Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to drive improvements in efficiency, quality, and productivity. This role also includes conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with IATF16949, ISO9001, and other related quality management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes in precision metal stamping operations.
  • Analyze current production processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and control plans.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve process-related issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and maintenance to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead new product and tooling process qualification, ensuring smooth transition from development to mass production.
  • Serve as Internal Auditor for IATF16949, ISO9001, and other quality management systems.
  • Provide technical training and guidance to production teams to enhance process capability and equipment utilization.
  • Monitor key process indicators and drive initiatives for waste reduction, yield improvement, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Diploma or higher in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in precision metal stamping manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of IATF16949, ISO9001, and quality management systems.
  • Hands-on experience in process optimization, tooling, and stamping technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and in teams.
