AVP – Operations Risk Manager

Our client, a well- established fintech service provider based in Singapore is looking to expand their business within the Asia Pacific region. The company is looking for aAVP – Operations Risk specialistto join them. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of the company's operations and establishing standards.

The Role Responsibility:

• As an AVP - Operational Risk Specialist you'd be able to work on and solve many interesting challenges that the firm is facing and build an arrary of high quality wealth management products for our customers.
• This is a 2nd line of defence role and is part of the CRO (Chief Risk Officer) organization. This specialist role will support the management and oversight of all risks within Operations Risk.
• The job has accountability for ensuring and strengthening not only the company's overall Operational Risk Management Framework, and ensuring operational risks are managed within appetite. Keeping abreast of market trends and regulatory requirements, the successful candidate will set the direction and execute the Operational Risk strategy while aligning them to the company's overall strategy
• Implement an Operational Risk Framework and tailored to fintech/financial service provider
• Lead thedesign of the company's second line of defence in managing Operational Risk, encompassing governance, business engagement, reputation risk, third party risk, outsourcing risk, policy, and awareness.
• Lead the design of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment Process
• Collaborate extensively with the Technology, Product, Compliance and Operations team during the "build" phase to ensure systems/processes are built in a resilient and compliant manner.
• Provide guidance to the first line to identify and manage Operational Risks on an ongoing basis
• Keep abreast of the regulatory landscape in Singapore related to Operational risk and ensure regulatory requirements are embedded in the relevant processes
• Facilitate and promote the understanding of Operational risk requirements in the company and help to deliver great quality audit outcomes.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• 4 - 8 years of commercial/fintech/startup experience with over 3-5 years of experience in Operational risk management.
• Demonstrates knowledge of deploying risk assessment techniques using data analytics
• Influencing skills and ability to manage working relationships with 1st LoD colleagues in Product, Operations and Technology
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment
