Lead Teacher / Anchor Teacher (Preschool, Primary, Secondary, OR Junior College) – Permanent Part-Time

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will serve as the Lead / Anchor Teacher for either one of the four levels — Preschool, Primary, Secondary, or Junior College (JC) — depending on your expertise and experience.

You will:

  • Conduct engaging physical lessons at TheEnglishLab Learning Centre according to the centre's Scheme of Work and curriculum standards.
  • Utilise structured material for Preschool and Primary, or adapt and enhance content for Secondary and JC levels as needed.
  • Mark students' work, assess progress, and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with parents to update on student learning and development.
  • Collaborate closely with the teaching team to uphold lesson consistency and quality.
  • Work with the marketing team to support promotional efforts, including sharing teaching insights, uploading course-related content, and contributing ideas to enhance visibility of TheEnglishLab's programmes.
  • Attend regular Saturday meetings to align on curriculum, centre updates, and teaching plans.
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and conducive classroom environment that motivates learning.

Requirements:

  • Singaporean/Permanent Resident (PR)
  • Bachelor's Degree in English Language, Literature, Education, or related field
  • Preferably NIE-trained with a PGDE (Pri / Sec)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of English teaching experience in MOE schools or reputable private/enrichment centres
  • Experience specialising in either Preschool, Primary, Secondary, or JC levels
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Familiarity with digital platforms and social media for course marketing and content uploads
  • Able to work weekends (Saturday required) and attend internal meetings
