Job Description

The Assistant Civil Engineer will support the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects. The role involves assisting senior engineers and project managers in coordinating site activities, preparing technical documents, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and monitoring project progress. The candidate is expected to contribute to problem-solving, quality assurance, and timely delivery of works.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, design, and supervision of civil and structural works.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, safety, and quality compliance.
  • Prepare and review engineering drawings, method statements, and technical reports.
  • Assist in cost estimation, material requisition, and project scheduling.
  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Support in surveying, testing, and data collection as required.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and project specifications.
  • Provide technical support to resolve site-related issues.
  • Maintain proper documentation and project records.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Fresh graduates or candidates with 1–2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of civil engineering standards, design codes, and construction practices.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Willingness to work on-site and adapt to project demands.
