Job Scope / Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the tooling team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Provide technical support to tooling, design, and production teams to meet quality and performance requirements.
  • Collaborate with tool designers and sales teams to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled.
  • Support tooling supervisors to ensure tools are ready for production.
  • Coordinate with production planners to prioritize tooling schedules based on status and availability.
  • Work with the design department on tool improvements for increased efficiency and output.
  • Lead problem-solving initiatives, including root cause analysis for tooling-related issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement in tooling processes and workflows.
  • Work closely with the toolroom on machining needs for tooling modifications and improvement programs.
  • Assist in managing overall tooling resources to meet departmental requirements efficiently.
  • Train, mentor, and guide toolmakers to enhance team capability.
  • Act as Principal Engineer when required.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
