  1. Pastry Chef / Baker

Develop and create new pastry and dessert recipes that is suitable for the cafe

  • Manage the production of pastries and desserts, ensuring that they are made to the highest standards.
  • Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained in the pastry kitchen.
  • Work closely with other members of the kitchen team to ensure that all orders are prepared and delivered on time.
  • Manage inventory and ordering of pastry and dessert ingredients and supplies.
  • To help in the coffee area to make coffee and drinks when needed

Requirements:

  • Experience as a pastry chef, with a portfolio of pastries, cakes, and desserts preferred.
  • A passion for pastry and desserts, with a desire to continuously improve and innovate.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A diploma or degree in culinary arts or pastry/bakery studies is preferred.
  • Basic food hygiene certificate

  • Must be able to work on weekends/public holiday.

We are looking for a creative and passionate Fondant Artist/Cake Decorator/Baker to join our team If you have a love for baking, an eye for detail, and enjoy creating beautiful edible art, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake cakes, pastries, and other baked goods according to recipes and standards
  • Design and decorate custom cakes using fondant, buttercream, and other mediums
  • Ensure high quality, consistency, and presentation of all products
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and work areas
  • Assist with daily production and ensure orders are completed on time

Requirements:

  • Experience in fondant work and cake decorating preferred
  • Good knowledge of baking techniques and food hygiene standards
  • Creativity, patience, and strong attention to detail
  • Able to work weekends and public holidays (5-day work week schedule)
  • Team player with a positive attitude
