Job Description


• Analyse and identify cause of machine breakdown or problem


• Use Process Control Sheet (PCS) checklist to test the specifications


• Resolve the machine problem within specifications


• Initiate & Implement permanent measures for repetitive breakdowns


• Modify machines to accommodate the new product introduced from customer


• Create a new jig for the new product to run through the machine process


• Test the product by running it through the machine and ensuring it performs within the specifications/ checklist


• Prepare / update / maintain documents for setup conducted


• Check to confirm safety standards of equipment are met


• Recommend enhancements to machine safety


• Follow the maintenance schedule


• Liaise with Production to ensure scheduled downtime during maintenance


• Identify parts that require changing and replace them


• Create sample before and after the parts have been changed


• Analyse machine breakdown history and recommend Preventive Maintenance program details


• Identify cause of the problem when machines encounter issues


• Conduct quality issue investigation following step by step procedures


• Report issues identified to senior Engineer


• Complete report on findings and provide recommendations to address machine issue


• Identify potential quality issues generated by equipment & implement measures to prevent them


• Conduct improvement projects to increase the throughput of the machines and improve quality of products created from the machine


• Assist to reduce timing of the machine and modify machine parts


• Responsible for all parts linked to the machine allocated


• Replace machine parts when required


• Recommend measures (e.g. localization, material change, etc) to reduce spare parts

Job Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, specialising in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering

  • 1 year experience preferably in electronic or manufacturing industry
