Job Description: English / Math Tutor (Primary 3–6)
Position: Part-Time Tutor
Subjects: English and Mathematics
Level: Primary 3 – Primary 6
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Primary 3–6 students in English and/or Math, following MOE syllabus.
- Provide clear explanations, practice exercises, and guidance tailored to each student's learning pace.
- Monitor and assess students' progress regularly, identifying areas for improvement.
- Support students with schoolwork, exam preparation (SA/PSLE), and reinforce key concepts.
- Maintain good classroom management and create a positive learning environment.
- Communicate with parents and centre management on student progress when necessary.
Requirements
- Minimum qualification: GCE 'O' Level (with strong grades in English/Math) or higher.
- Prior tutoring/teaching experience with Primary students preferred.
- Good communication skills and ability to engage young learners.
- Responsible, patient, and passionate about education.
- Able to commit to weekday afternoons/evenings and/or weekends.
Working Hours
- Weekdays: Afternoons/(From 3pm-6pm)
- Additional hours during school holidays
Remuneration
- Hourly rate: SGD $15 – $20 (depending on experience and qualifications)
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $ $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 per week
Work Location: In person
