Your role

Our major Oil & Energy Downstream Client is looking for Instrument Engineer who will support and execute field E&I construction activities where required, including extended hour and weekend works where required (Including during Turnarounds) in areas of HSSE, Quality, and schedule. You will coordinate and liaise E&I related design activities such as technical queries with execution engineers, EPC contractors, and field implementation contractors.

  • Design and develop loop drawings, wiring diagram for Plant Change and minor capital projects for Electrical and Instrument. Responsible for generating instrument data sheets, instrument index, cable list and IO list
  • Responsible to verify in field to ensure feasibility of the design i.e., identifying terminal connection details in junction boxes/panels, cables trays and tubing routing etc
  • Quality check for E&I document/drawings during DNF & DRF submission & also updating of document/drawings produced by execution engineers and engineering contractors
  • Updating final As-built markup for E&I disciplines according to Document Notification Form (DNF) provided by the project, execution and plant engineer & contractors. Field verification to ensure the As built submitted are as per site conditions
  • Create/maintain and supervise engineering contractors updating instrument related data into Smart Plant Instrumentation (In-Tools – which is a "Live" instrument data base) according to As-built documentation
  • Plan and control design activities progress schedule and status reporting
  • A committed team player able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision
  • As site E&I focal point liaising with remote design office on all E&I related design activities.

You are what we are looking for if you:

  • Have at least a degree in Engineering (Instrumentation/Control) or equivalent technical certification
  • Have minimum 10 years of professional experience in delivering Instrument scopes in the capital projects in oil and gas, downstream, refinery, and/or chemical industry
  • Have instrument engineer with strong experience in field instrumentation and system (DCS/PLC) experience
  • Have a proven track record of results in project delivery environment
  • Have experience in the design and testing/verification of Instrumentation and systems in accordance with industrial standards

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $6, $7,500.00 per month
