Singapore Singapore Recreation Club Full time $45,000 - $55,000 per year
Job Purpose:

The Fitness Instructor plays a key role in delivering high-quality fitness services to our club members. You will be responsible for providing personalised guidance, ensuring safe use of fitness facilities, and enhancing the overall wellness experience for our members in a private club setting.

Job Responsibilities:

1) Manage the day-to-day operations of the club gym.

2) Be attentive on the gym floor and initiate member orientation.

3) Communicate effective and advocate for fitness.

4) Demonstrating excellent time management and attention to detail in scheduling and tracking member progress.

5) Ability to utilize and implement new technology, equipment and techniques.

6) Demonstrate proper gym equipment usage and correct members' form during exercises.

7) Record and track monthly attendance chart.

8) Ensure full operation and safety of equipment / machines and raise requisition if need to repair, replace or purchase new equipment / machines.

9) Work with the club team to implement strategies to attract, retain and grow the club member usage base.

10) Ability to build relationship with members

11) Excellent customer service; energetic, enthusiastic, motivational Team Player

12) Excellent time management and organisational skills

13) Contribute to building a great culture in the club

14) Willingness to step out of comfort zone to achieve excellence

15) Any other duties/projects as assigned by Supervisor and/or Management.

16) Others:

• Follow the workplace safety and health system, safe work procedures or safety rules implemented at the workplace.

• Not engage in any unsafe or negligent act that may endanger yourself or others working around you.

• Use personal protective equipment provided to you to ensure your safety while working. You must not tamper with or misuse the equipment.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Sports & Exercise Science or Nitec in Fitness Training or possess ACE-CPT, FISAF or Fitness Instructor Certification (FIC)

• Possess a valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator card (AED) Standard First Aid

• Any other fitness related certifications will be an added advantage

• Passion for health and fitness

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with members, staff and stakeholders

• Able to adapt to busy and fast-moving environment

• Previous experience in a fitness club or hospitality environment preferred

• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays

• Proactive, self-motivated, and with the ability to work both independently and in a team.
