Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Construction Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The Construction Manager will coordinate with contractors, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Project Planning and Coordination:
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project plans are feasible and aligned with client requirements.
Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications. - Team Management:
Supervise and lead on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
Assign tasks, set deadlines, and provide guidance to ensure efficient workflow.
Foster a safe and productive work environment. - Budget and Cost Control:
Monitor project expenses and ensure adherence to the approved budget.
Review and approve contractor invoices and change orders.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. - Quality Assurance and Safety:
Ensure all construction activities comply with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to minimize risks and hazards.
Address and resolve any issues related to quality or safety promptly. - Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Provide regular progress updates and reports to senior management and clients.
Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. - Problem Solving:
Identify potential challenges and develop proactive solutions to keep projects on track.
Resolve disputes or conflicts between contractors, suppliers, or team members. - Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders.
Prepare and submit progress reports, budget updates, and post-project evaluations.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (e.g., 5+ years) as a Construction Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, Procore).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Certification in PMP (Project Management Professional) or CMAA (Construction Management Association of America) is a plus.
