As a Staff Nurse (Anaesthetic Unit), you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in all day surgery procedures.
  • Working closely with surgeons, anesthetists, and operating room staffin ensuring the efficiency and safeness throughout surgical procedures.
  • Provide close monitoring during sedation, local, regional, or general anaesthesia to all patients
  • Support in the preparation of patients for various surgical procedures such as general surgery, ENT, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, endoscopy etc.).
  • Manage patients during post-anaesthesia recovery in the PACU, providing airway support, pain management, monitoring, and assessment for discharge readiness.
  • Provide patient and family education on pre- and post-operative care instructions, medications, and recovery expectations.
  • Maintain accurate and complete clinical documentation in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives, audits, infection control activities, and staff training or mentoring as needed.

Requirements

  • Singapore Nursing Board Registered Nurse.
  • At least 4 years of experiences as AU nurse in Operating Theatre, Day Surgery or PACU settings.
