The intern will support purchasing functions, including inventory management, material reconciliation, and shipment tracking to ensure timely deliveries. Responsibilities involve assisting in cost reduction initiatives, setting up vendor codes, and improving purchasing activities. The role also includes following up on incoming materials, monitoring shipment status, reconciling inventory discrepancies, and generating weekly reports. Additionally, the intern will handle BOM issues, assist with vendor invoices, manage RFQs for new materials, and contribute to continuous improvement and cost control efforts in the purchasing process.
