The Role
As Audit Partner, you will play a pivotal role in leading a portfolio of statutory audits and special assurance engagements, ensuring the highest level of audit quality, risk management, and client satisfaction. Beyond technical expertise, you will be a trusted advisor to clients, a mentor to your team, and a key driver of the firm's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a portfolio of audit clients across various industries.
- Oversee end-to-end external audit engagements: planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, and final reporting.
- Serve as Engagement Partner, reviewing and approving audit documentation to ensure compliance with SFRS, auditing standards, and firm policies.
- Ensure audit quality in line with ACRA regulations and uphold the System of Quality Management (ISQM 1 & 2).
- Actively participate in consultations/EQCR processes as needed.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing guidance on financial reporting and compliance matters.
- Drive business development through networking, proposals, and referrals.
- Coach, develop, and retain a high-performing audit team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented culture.
- Partner with fellow leaders to advance firm innovation and market presence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or equivalent, with a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA Australia, ACA).
- Chartered Accountant (Singapore), ISCA Member, and ACRA-registered Public Accountant with a current Practising Certificate.
- Minimum 12 years of progressive experience with mid-tier or large public accounting firms, with recent leadership at Director/Partner level.
- Strong technical knowledge of SFRS, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record in client management, business development, and team leadership.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bilingual (English and Mandarin preferred) to liaise with diverse client stakeholders.
- Experience with listed companies or public interest entities will be an advantage.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with high standards of integrity, accountability, and commitment to audit quality.
