Project Manager (Interior Design / Fit-Out)

  1. Project Planning & Coordination

Plan and schedule project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

Prepare and manage project budgets, cost tracking, and quotations.

Coordinate between clients, designers, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Obtain necessary permits and liaise with authorities (e.g., HDB, MCST management).

  1. Site Management

Oversee site progress, workmanship, and quality control.

Supervise subcontractors and ensure safety compliance on-site.

Conduct regular site meetings and resolve on-site issues promptly.

Ensure all works comply with drawings, specifications, and regulations.

  1. Client & Stakeholder Communication

Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project.

Update clients on project progress and manage expectations.

Handle design clarifications, variations, and change orders.

Prepare handover documentation and ensure client satisfaction upon completion.

  1. Cost & Procurement Management

Source and evaluate quotations from vendors and subcontractors.

Negotiate prices and manage procurement schedules.

Control material usage and prevent cost overruns.

Verify progress claims, variation orders, and payments.

  1. Team Leadership & Collaboration

Lead a team of site supervisors, coordinators, and workers.

Collaborate closely with the design team to ensure design intent is executed.

Mentor junior staff and guide them through project delivery processes.

  1. Quality, Safety & Compliance

Ensure work quality meets company and client standards.

Enforce safety regulations in line with MOM and WSH requirements.

Conduct inspections before handover and follow up on rectifications.

  1. Project Closure

Oversee final inspections, defect rectifications, and handover.

Prepare as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and closeout reports.

Review project performance and propose process improvements.

Typical Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Building, or Construction Management.

Minimum 1 year relevant experience in interior fit-out or renovation.

Strong coordination, budgeting, and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of AutoCAD and reading design drawings.
