Position Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging First Aid Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality first aid training programs to a diverse range of participants. This role involves facilitating hands-on learning, ensuring compliance with training standards, and fostering an environment where participants gain the skills and confidence needed to handle emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Training Sessions: Deliver comprehensive first aid training to individuals and groups in accordance with established curricula and standards.
- Prepare Training Materials: Develop and update course content, handouts, and presentations to ensure training materials are current and effective.
- Hands-on Demonstrations: Teach practical skills, including CPR, use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs), and basic life support techniques.
- Assess Competency: Evaluate participants' understanding and practical skills through assessments and provide constructive feedback.
- Compliance and Certification: Ensure that all training meets relevant regulatory, organizational, and certification body requirements.
- Maintain Training Equipment: Inspect, maintain, and ensure the availability of all necessary equipment for training sessions.
- Participant Support: Address participant queries and provide support to ensure they fully understand the material.
- Administrative Tasks: Keep accurate records of attendance, assessments, and certifications issued.
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of updates in first aid standards, procedures, and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Must have ACTA/ACLP.
- Having the DACE/DDDLP qualificationis an advantage.
- Certified First Aid Trainer or equivalent qualification recognized by relevant authorities.
- In-depth knowledge of first aid practices, CPR, and emergency medical procedures.
- Prior experience delivering first aid or related training is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles and group dynamics.
- Proficiency in handling training equipment and tools such as AEDs and CPR manikins.
- Valid certification in basic or advanced first aid (e.g., BCLS, ACLS, or similar).
- Organizational and administrative skills to manage records and prepare materials.

Work Environment:
